Capturing certificates – every property evidenced

Mill test certificates, declarations of conformity and calibration certificates arrive with every delivery and every measuring instrument – from many issuers, in many formats. Excalitract extracts issuer, standard, validity, batch and heat numbers as well as material properties according to your schema. Whether the values meet your requirements is then decided by your quality management – on an evidenced data basis.

Transferring properties by hand

Yield strength, tensile strength, elongation – per heat and per specimen. Retyping mill certificates risks transposed digits exactly where the decimal place matters.

Many document types, one inbox

Mill certificate, declaration of conformity and calibration certificate look different and need different fields. Every document type gets its own schema.

Traceable down to the heat

In a complaint or an audit, every value must be traceable to the certificate. The source location shows where it is, the audit log shows who confirmed it.

Batches and properties

From certificate to reviewable properties per heat

A mill test certificate often covers several heats, each with its own specimens and properties. Excalitract maps this structure as a nested list and evidences every value with its source location. Your quality system then compares them with your specification – using data that can be traced back to the original.

  • Heats as lists Several heats and specimens per certificate – as a nested list in the schema.
  • Source location per property Every measured value leads back to its row in the certificate.
  • Required values are mandatory If a required property is missing, the field stays open and blocks approval.
  • Audit log for every review Every confirmation and every correction is stored traceably.

Every document type with its own schema

Mill certificates, declarations of conformity and calibration certificates are assigned to their document type and processed with the matching schema. Anything assigned incorrectly is rejected during review.

Properties with source locations

Every measured value stays linked to its row in the certificate. Your quality management checks the value against the original before comparing it with the specification.

Typical fields

These are the values Excalitract extracts for you

Examples – you define exactly which fields are extracted in the schema.

  • Issuer, document type and date of issue
  • Applied standards, material and certificate type
  • Batch, heat or serial numbers
  • Mechanical and chemical properties with units
  • Validity, calibration date and next calibration
  • Reference to purchase order or delivery note

Your result

  • Certificates and records captured without retyping
  • Properties per batch and heat as the basis for comparison with your specification
  • Evidenced certificate data for audits and complaints
